For many people who suffer from allergies, have a dog or cat, or even visit friends who have pets it is difficult. Pet fur is the cause of your allergies. Symptoms of your allergy can vary from sneezing, watery eyes, itching, or pain.

But if you're a dog lover, don't worry! There are several types of dogs that only trigger very few allergic reactions, maybe not at all.

First of all, let's try realistically, no type of dog is 100 percent hypoallergenic. However, there are types of dogs (breed) which has "consistent and predictable coats" which tend to be more suitable for allergy sufferers. Breed this does not fall out, so they create fewer dander which is the main element in dog hair which causes allergy symptoms.

When considering each of these types, it is important to avoid "designer dogs," aka dogs that usually are breed mixture. Pilihlan breed pure because their fur is more predictable.

When you do research about dogs that are safe for allergy sufferers, it's only natural that you experience confusion with conflicting information. Many sites overestimate allergic-free dog claims and some allergic-friendly dog claims. As we said, no dog is truly allergic free.

The list above was compiled by the American Kennel Club, a non-profit organization with the largest breed dog registry. They make this list based on breed non-shedding coatsso they have less fur. However, still the dog still has fur, and whether the feather triggers allergies or not has not been proven in any research. Of course dogs can have more or less fur, or more cause allergies or less, depending on genes or other factors. So, type breed dogs are not always a reliable indicator of how they affect one's allergies.

Choose the type of dog

If you are a dog lover and have a severe allergy, you might be wondering what type of dog is right for you.

First, carefully consider what type of dog is right for your needs. Each type of dog has different behaviors and properties. After you have done some research and know what dogs might be right for you, try to prepare the space as much as possible for the dog. Avoid curtains, carpets, furniture with thick linings, additional carpets, or fabrics that might accommodate dog hair loss.

After choosing a dog, you must bathe and clean your dog regularly. This will reduce the amount of fur around the house. This means sweeping, vacuuming, and so on. One important step is to limit the area where your dog can be: family room, back room, or in the garden, for example. If you have allergies, don't let the dog be in bed or even in your room, to make it safer.

If you realize that no type of dog is truly allergic-free, and if you become a little more diligent about dog hair, even people who suffer from allergies can enjoy friendship with pet dogs.
