3. Smoking

Chemicals in many common household cleaners may have detrimental effects on fertility. High exposure to BPA (bisphenol A), chemicals found in plastic items, such as drinking bottles, food containers, and even in layers of aluminum cans proven to interfere with fertility by reducing sperm counts or reducing the number of eggs worthy.

Read labels and select products that do not contain hazardous chemicals. Avoid canned foods and avoid consuming anything from plastic containers that attach recycled numbers 3 or 7 to the packaging (usually located at the bottom of the container).

7. Eat fish with high mercury content

8. Do not maintain a healthy weight

Women who have a low BMI (18.5 or less) or have a very high BMI (more than 30) are more likely to have irregular menstrual cycles or even be missed. A very thin body can make a woman stop ovulating at all. On the other hand, obesity can increase the risk of pregnancy complications, such as gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, birth defects, and the tendency to undergo a caesarean section.

It is important to have a healthy weight when you try to get pregnant (and during pregnancy). So, exchange your beloved fast food with more vegetables and nuts and seeds. Don't forget to take prenatal supplements as well as stay active and exercise. Regular exercise can reduce blood pressure, cholesterol levels, increase energy levels, and build the stamina you need for pregnancy.

9. Stress

Stress is one of the biggest factors that need to be considered in order to get pregnant quickly. It seems the harder you try to get pregnant, the thinner the chances of success - and this can trigger more stress. There is evidence that chronic or intense stress can interfere with the performance of your reproductive system.

Some studies have found that alternative therapies, such as yoga and acupuncture, can actually reduce stress so that it shortens the time needed to get pregnant quickly.

10. Certain medicines

If you are taking any medication while trying to get pregnant, talk to your doctor about what you can go on and what to stop. You must not stop any of these drugs yourself, but your health care provider may be able to prescribe safer alternatives.

Some drugs can inhibit fertilization while others can endanger the developing fetus. Many nonsteroidal nonprescription pain relievers can make your uterine lining less stable for embryo implantation. Even if conception is successful, drugs containing ibuprofen can prevent pregnancy. Other drugs such as antibiotics, antihypertension, and anticoagulants must be evaluated by a doctor.
