1. Large portions of food

Large foods cause your stomach to produce more stomach acid, which can accumulate and irritate your esophagus. It is recommended to eat more often with small portions than to eat at the same time with large portions.

2. Fried foods

High-fat foods such as fried foods, take longer to digest. The longer it is in your stomach, the more stomach acid is produced which will eventually take up more space in your stomach. 3. Acidic foods

Although fruit has many health benefits, sometimes they can trigger stomach acid. Many fruits contain high levels of acid. The family of citrus fruits including lemons, oranges, and tomatoes contains acid which can disrupt the pH balance in your stomach. Fruits and vegetables can add acidity and cause heartburn symptoms.

4. Broccoli

Broccoli is a source of fiber and nutrition. If you experience symptoms of stomach ulcers associated with gas and bloating, avoid eating broccoli. Too much fiber can cause your digestive system to produce more gas, which can trigger heartburn.

5. Coffee and carbonated drinks

If you often have problems with stomach acid disorders, coffee drinking habits should be reduced, if not completely abandoned. Besides coffee, carbonated drinks such as soda can also stimulate the rise of stomach acid into the esophagus which causes upper abdominal pain.

6. Spicy food

If you like spicy food but you have a stomach, we have bad news. It's time to keep the bottle of sambal away. Spicy foods can add acid buildup and cause stomach acid to rise. To prevent symptoms of ulcers, it's better to avoid chili and spicy sauce.

7. Alcohol

You probably already know that alcohol is not good for health, but we want to mention again that alcohol will worsen stomach acid reflux. Alcohol increases stomach acid in your stomach and makes your body dehydrated.

8. Chocolate

Chocolate is known as a trigger for symptoms of gastric acid reflux. Chocolate contains a compound called theobromine which causes the esophageal sphincter muscles to relax, allowing the acid to flow into the esophagus.
