1. Have high emotional intelligence

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the foundation of mental strength. You cannot be mentally strong without the ability to fully understand and tolerate strong negative emotions, and take decisive action if you want to successfully pass it successfully.

EQ is a flexible skill that you can train with understanding and effort. Not surprisingly, 90% of successful people in the world have a high EQ and people with high EQ produce a higher average income per year than people whose EQ is low. Unfortunately, having an EQ is not enough for you to be as strong as steel.

2. Have high self-confidence

Strong minded people believe that mental has a strong effect on a person's ability to succeed. And this is supported by facts. A recent study at the University of Melbourne showed that people who are confident continue to get higher wages and are promoted faster than other colleagues.

True self-confidence is inversely proportional to false self-confidence, which is often raised by someone to mask concerns in him. They don't let others control their lives, and they don't influence them. They understand that they are entitled to control their own emotions. Daring to say "no", people who are mentally strong realize that they don't need to please everyone at all times. They are not afraid to say no or speak bluntly when needed. They try to be nice and fair, but can handle other people who are upset if they don't make those people happy.

When they have to face negative people around them, they approach the situation rationally. They identify their emotions and don't let anger or frustration trigger chaos.

They also consider the point of view of the negative person and can find similarities and solutions to problems. Even when the situation has continued to be chaotic, people who are mentally strong don't let it sink into resentment.

People who have a strong mentality are not afraid to take risks, but not just any risk. They don't take the risk of being rash or stupid, but don't mind taking risks that have been reckoned with. People who have a strong mentality spend time weighing risks and benefits before making big decisions, and they are fully aware of the potential losses before they act.

10. They don't make the same mistakes repeatedly

They accept responsibility for their behavior and learn from past mistakes. As a result, they don't keep repeating these mistakes over and over again. Instead, they continue and make better decisions in the future.

Comparing yourself with others is the same as limiting your potential abilities. Jealousy and revenge suck energy from life. People who are mentally strong don't waste time or energy comparing themselves with others, and they are willing to work hard for their own success.

Whether they exercise to improve their health or lift their business to a higher level, people who are mentally strong do not expect instant results. Instead, they apply their skills and time as well as their abilities and understand that real change takes time.

13. They are not afraid of themselves

People who are mentally strong can tolerate solitude and they are not afraid in silence. They are not afraid to be alone with their minds, and they can use this alone time to be productive. They enjoy their own solitude and do not depend on others to accompany and entertain all the time but can be happy with themselves.

14. They exercise

A study conducted at the Eastern Ontario Research Institute found that people who exercise twice a week for 10 weeks feel more competent socially, intellectually, and athletically. They also have a higher body image and self-esteem.

What's more, exercise not only encourages physical changes in their bodies that are responsible for increased self-confidence, but also positive thinking that is directly driven by endorphins from exercise. When combined, both are the main keys of mental strength.

15. They get enough sleep

Quality sleep is closely related to qualified mental health. When you sleep, your brain rinses toxic proteins from the body, which are a by-product of nerve activity when you are awake.

Unfortunately, your brain can only remove it in large quantities while you are sleeping. So when you lack sleep, the remnants of this toxic protein remain in your brain cells, causing havoc the next day because it interferes with your ability to think clearly.
