Why can a preauricular hole appear in a child's ear?

If you have already been infected, take the child to a general practitioner or ENT specialist. Doctors will usually prescribe antibiotics for childhood ear infections. In some cases, doctors may also drain pus that collects in the hole with a small surgical procedure. Lumps of infection may also be removed so as not to relapse continuously later on.
Sometimes doctors need a CT scan or MRI to examine the condition of the ear more deeply. With this test, the doctor can also find out the potential complications that may occur due to the preaucricular sinus faster.
