2. Ibuprofen
Like acetaminophen, ibuprofen also acts as a toothache drug which is also available in the form of tablets, caplets and syrup. The dosage of ibuprofen to treat toothache is:
- Adults and teens: 200-400 mg every 4 to 6 hours, depending on the needs and the pain that is felt. The highest dose limit is 3200 mg / day (if you get it from a prescription).
- Children over 6 months: the dose is adjusted for body weight. This dose is usually determined by the doctor, but usually 10 mg / kg every 6-8 hours or 40 mg / kg per day.

- Children over 2 years old: 2.5-10 mg / kg / dose. The maximum daily dose is 10 mg / kg, given every 8 to 12 hours.
Naproxen is available in tablet form in a dose of 220 mg. An example of the drug brand Naproxen is Xenifar.
