Medical Video: Sadhguru on body based relationships: Keep it as simple as possible!
Having sex regularly will provide health benefits. Unfortunately, there are several couples who for one reason or another must fast intimate relationships first. For example, because you are treating venereal disease, have just given birth normally, or have a long distance relationship with your husband or wife.
You might wonder, what would happen if a married couple had not had sex for a long time? Will the next sex feel much more enjoyable or even less satisfying? Is there any effect on the health of the body? Come on, find out below.
Changes to the body if they are not intimate for a long time
1. Feel sick when having sex again
The vagina may hurt when having intercourse again after a long period of time not doing it. Using vaginal lubricants can help reduce pain. In order for the body to relax more and the vagina is quite lubricating, you should also do itforeplay or long enough heating.
2. More at risk for prostate cancer
People who stop sex can be more at risk of prostate cancer. According to a study on American Urological AssociationMen who routinely have sex and ejaculate (orgasm) can reduce their risk of prostate cancer by 20 percent.
This is believed because when ejaculating, the body participates in removing waste substances that are not needed by the body through semen. Therefore, ejaculation can help cleanse the male reproductive area.
3. Vaginismus
Pain during intercourse can be resolved by itself with habits, patience, and foreplay which is pretty good. But in some conditions, the vaginal muscles can contract so fast that it is not possible to penetrate. Even a tampon or finger can't penetrate the vagina.
This condition is called vaginismus. If you suspect this is happening to you, see a doctor immediately to get a diagnosis and recommendations for pelvic floor muscle therapy, for example doing Kegel exercises.
4. Losing sex drive
If you haven't had sex for a long time, it's natural for your body to stop wanting it again. Because, when having sex the body will produce endorphins which will make you want sex and intimacy with your partner. Whereas if you haven't had sex for a long time, you might not be so sensitive to this hormone anymore.
Relax, lost sex drive can be returned again, how come, in various ways. For example by spending quality time with a partner, eating foods that can increase sex drive, and exercise with a partner.
5. Vaginal atrophy
When fertile age has passed, sex will appear as something less important. Plus, the amount of estrogen will drop dramatically. This makes you lazy or don't want to have sex. Decreased estrogen levels can cause the vagina to dry out and the vaginal wall to thin.
This condition is called vaginal atrophy. Vaginal dryness can be a problem that needs to be addressed. This will make sex uncomfortable, because the penetration that occurs becomes more painful.
Long time not having sex will not make the vagina "close"
Long time not having sex is not a factor causing vaginal tightness. If you have not had sex for a long time, then feel sick, the cause is not a narrower vagina after a long rest, but for lack of it foreplay before penetration of the penis into the vagina.
The duration of not having sex is not a determining factor for vaginal density because basically the vagina will return to its original form, even in people who often have sex. How often sexual intercourse does not affect vaginal density or looseness at all.
There are two things that affect vaginal density, namely giving birth and the aging process (menopause).During a normal delivery, your vagina will work hard to stretch and give the baby a way. In this way, the shape will change and loosen up. The vagina takes approximately 6 months to return to its original shape and size.
When menopause, estrogen levels in your body will be much reduced which affects the elasticity of the vagina. Upon entering this period, your vaginal muscles will not be as elastic as before and make the vagina more loose.
