One study that has proven this is a study in JAMA Dermatology in 2002. Experts involved 1,300 respondents in the Papua New Guinea Kitavan and Aché people in Paraguay (South America) who forage by hunting and gathering food directly from nature.

They do not eat foods with high glycemic indexes such as cereals, pastries, bread, and so on. They also consume very little processed food from milk, coffee, alcohol, sugar, and salt. The Kitavan people only eat fruit, fish, and coconut. The Aché people only eat food harvested locally, namely beans and corn. Once observed, no cases of acne were found in the residents of the Kitavan and Aché.

Then do beans make it spotty?

Until now there are many people who judge that nuts make acne. Experts still differ in this opinion. But clearly, research conducted by the American Academy of Dermatology and the Journal of the American Medical Association shows that nuts do not cause acne.  

Many believe peanuts make it spotty because nuts contain fat. In fact, the most fat contained in nuts is unsaturated fat. Unsaturated fats are a good type of fat which actually has good benefits for health.

However, if you eat nuts that are processed by frying, the saturated fat content will certainly be high. This is because the oil used for frying contains saturated fat. Well, eating fried foods, including fried peanuts, in excessive amounts can indeed trigger skin problems such as zits.

Therefore, if you like to eat peanuts but are afraid of peanuts making spotty, choose beans that are baked, not fried.
