Or, if you are already using contact lenses and have only just realized it when you wake up from sleep, you are not recommended to immediately take it off especially if your eyes are dry. All you have to do is wait 20 to 30 minutes and drip with liquid contact lenses (artificial tears) before you release them. Then, you better use glasses first.

2. Touch or rub your eyes

The thing you do most often may touch and rub your eyes, especially when your eyes are itchy. Unfortunately, rubbing your eyes too hard can cause blood vessels to break and become inflamed. Therefore, when your eyes are itchy or something happens to your eyes, you simply close your eyes and touch the outside of your eyes.

Also, when you touch or rub your eyes; there is no guarantee that your hands are clean. Unfortunately, looking at the screen of a smartphone or other electronic device for too long is not good for eye health because too much focus on one point can cause eye strain and cause headaches. 4. Sleep with eye makeup

Of course this is not recommended. Makeup that is still attached to your eyes can clog the glands around your eyes and will cause irritation to the skin, pimples, and even bumps can appear around your eyelids. Also, if you sleep using false eyelashes, the glue used to attach lashes to your eyes can enter the cornea and cause inflammation.

5. Use eye drops when your eyes are red

But what you need to know is, these eye medications also contain preservatives and other chemicals that can cause problems in your eyes in the long run.
