What causes watery ears?
Otorrhea can occur due to earwax that is indeed released by the body, or water that flows out again after swimming or bathing. If this happens, it is not dangerous at all.

1. Infection
Middle ear infection (otitis media) is the most common cause of discharge from the ear. Otitis media occurs when bacteria or viruses enter the middle ear, the eardrum. Ear infections in this area can cause fluid to build up behind the eardrum.

1. Antibiotics

If what happens is a fungal infection, acetate solution is given for infections that are not too severe. Most cases of severe fungal infections in the ear are given topical antifungals such as clotrimazole.
In some cases, administration of this antibiotic can also be given orally (oral medication) if needed.
2. Pain relievers
Ear infections can cause tremendous pain in the ear. Therefore, painkillers are also given to overcome this complaint. This drug is given to control the pain that is felt during an infection.
Pain relievers given for example nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can be used to reduce pain due to inflammation of the ear. Acetaminophen (paracetamol) can also be used to reduce pain.
3. Surgery
In severe cases, if there is a lot of ear fluid that keeps coming out, medical surgery can be done. An abscess filled with pus in the ear is slashed using a special needle to remove pus to dry.
