Who needs psychotherapy?

The practice of psychotherapy has proven effective since the end of the 19th century to help people with mental disorders find the solutions needed. Unfortunately, there are still many people who misunderstand the concept of psychotherapy. Psychotherapy is not a method taken to cure people with mental disabilities (crazy). This therapy actually targets people whose mental condition is still functioning despite the disorder. Here are some types of disorders that can be treated through psychotherapy.

  • The problem never ends even though I have tried my best with the help of the closest people
  • Difficulty concentrating and doing daily activities

This type of therapy leads you to look deeper into your conscious mind. You will be invited to explore various events or problems that have been hidden and you are not aware of them. This new understanding will help you in making decisions and dealing with various problems.

Interpersonal psychotherapy

In interpersonal psychotherapy, you will be invited to evaluate and understand how you connect with other people such as family, friends, or colleagues. From here, you will become more sensitive when interacting or resolving conflicts with other people.

Therapy acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In order for you to be able to deal with problems more healthfully, you will be trained to realize and accept all your feelings and thoughts, rather than denying or avoiding those feelings. After that you must commit to change it.
