Baby crying is different, depending on your language

The melodic differences found in a baby's cry indicate that the larynx and respiratory tract are well trained.

Baby crying has its own accent

The study involved 110 babies consisting of 55 babies from German families, and the rest were of Chinese descent. These babies are known not to have physical deficiencies and have good health status. Then the researchers recorded the cries of babies who were considered spontaneous, such as when babies feel hungry, and not recorded when babies feel sick. The recording of crying has a maximum duration of 2 minutes and is done every time the baby cries suddenly.

From this study, researchers managed to collect as many as 6480 recordings from 102 babies recorded cries, then the cries were analyzed in terms of melodies and notes. The results of the study stated that crying babies from Chinese descent had more varied melodies than babies from German families. In addition, the crying melody from each group of babies shows the similarity of the language used by the parents.

Other studies have also compared two groups of baby crying, a group of babies from France with babies from German descent. Just as the results of the research mentioned earlier, it is known that the cries of each group of babies are different. In this study, experts recorded as many as 60 babies aged 3 to 5 days. The cries of these babies have melodies and tones that are almost the same as their parents' language.

The baby has noticed the voice of the mother since the womb

The baby's hearing system is even active and can hear from him still in the womb. The hearing organ in the fetus has begun to grow when the fetus enters the age of 24 weeks. Whereas at the 30th week, the sense of hearing can function properly. Therefore, the baby in the womb can actually hear and can remember whatever he hears while still in the womb.

Mother's voice is the voice most often heard by the fetus and baby when she is born later. The fetus has been accustomed to hearing the voice of the mother since she was in the womb. From this mother's voice, the baby forms 'crying' when she is born later. Experts reveal that the most interesting thing is not that babies can recognize melodies from the language their parents use, but newborns have the ability to hear various things from the womb. Babies who are in the womb are not only able to hear, but also can remember in detail the sound and then they mimic the crying.

From the study it can be concluded that the development of the auditory organs, learning abilities, and memory of the baby is very strong, even it has been formed since still in the womb. This should be a concern for parents. Growth and development when the baby is still in the womb is very important. To support all that, parents must provide a supportive environment. Not only the mother's voice may be recognized, but various sounds that are in the surrounding environment may affect the growth and development of the fetus. Therefore, parents should avoid noisy and high-noise environments that can disrupt fetal growth.
