Multiple personality is a psychological disorder in which a person has two (or more) personalities in themselves. Multiple personality or dissociative identity disorder is a psychological disorder in which the individual personality is divided, so that another personality appears. Personality signs are usually expressions of other personalities (alter ego) that arise because the main person cannot realize the things he wants to do.

What is an alter ego?

In Latin, the alter ego means "our other selves". Alter ego can also be said that there is one person who has more than one person, or has two or more personal at once. Sometimes sufferers do not know that they have multiple personality signs. Other personalities that exist in this one body sometimes also do not know each other, and even worse each of these individuals are mutually contradictory.

Characteristics of multiple personalities that you can feel

What's the difference with schizophrenia?

Schizophrenia is a mental illness that includes chronic psychosis. Schizophrenia sufferers usually often hear or see something that is not real (hallucinations) and believe something that is not based (delusion).

Contrary to the views of people, schizophrenics do not have multiple personalities. Delusion is a common psychotic symptom, and hallucinations that occur especially hear sounds experienced by people with schizophrenia. But there is one similarity between these two diseases, namely the risk of suicide is higher than other mental illnesses.
